It hardly seems possible that this time last year Lewis RAM 391 was celebrating it’s 100 Anniversary with the Lodge filled to capacity in the company of the Deputy Grand Master, John Prizeman, and many other special guests. This week, due to the Covid-19 restrictions there we just six of us comprising Roger Richardson Prov.G.M., Chris Farrow Dep.Prov.G.M., Mick Grover, Malcolm Jeffery, Freddie Pankhurst and Andrew Conibear.
Roger proclaimed Chris as Commander and Chris then re-appointed the existing Officers…. Following the meeting we all had Fish & Chips with a beer, what a contrast to last year and we all agreed how much we were looking forward to next year when, hopefully, we can do the proper job.
Medi-Tech Charitable Trust
W.Bro. Bob Lewis - Medi-Tech Charitable Trust
The Mark Province of Sussex has gratefully received and allocated, with the help of W. Bro Bob Lewis at Medi-Tech Charitable Trust 100 visors from the MMH initiative on PPE.
Southdown Housing Association (SHA) manage eight Care Homes for people with learning disabilities, some of whom have a need for a high level of personal care and have physical disabilities, as well as providing a Supported Living service for people with learning disabilities in 25 other properties across Sussex.
A representative of SHA, Claire Lacey, daughter of W. Bro. Bob Lacey, OBE have advised that that the first deliveries will be to Saxon Court, Downsview Road, Worthing and Lennox Court, Mitre Close, Chichester, closely followed by Winford House, Firle Road, Seaford. Currently SHA are handling over 300 visit contracts on behalf of the NHS so these 100 visors will prove more than useful.
On behalf of SHA, Claire asked to pass on to GLMMM their gratitude. In due course, once back in their office, their communications department will be publishing fuller details so there will be a second opportunity to let the public know.
